New publication: Local Economic Development as a Mean of Implementing the Post-2015 Agenda and the SDGs in Africa

In the framework of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum 2015, held in June in Gaborone, Botswana, the UNDP ART Initiative co-organised an event on local economic development (LED).

The session aimed at providing an opportunity for delegates to discuss how LED can contribute towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. It provided a platform for debate, exchange of ideas and experiences with a view to agreeing some core recommendations back to the main conference.
