Environmental Laboratory is a research group within the Department of Economics and Food Sciences (Section of Economics and Appraisal), of the University of Perugia. The research activity of the Laboratory consists of studies in the areas of environmental economics, politics, evaluation and assessment.

By using the results of its research the Laboratory wants to obtain the following objectives:

•  to disseminate the culture of respect for the environment,

•  to support public and private decision makers, to make their choices coherent with the sustainable development principles, 

•  to promote a responsible management of natural resources. 

On November 30, 2011, the International Conference 'The economic value of Biodiversity', organized from the Observatory for Biodiversity and from the Region of Umbria, will be held in Trevi (Perugia, Italy).

Environmental Laboratory provides an information service about environmental subjects.

High school students who want to know better environmental subjects, in order to choose the faculty at university, university students who need specific information about environmental subjects, curious citizens who need environmental data or want to look at our studies; anyone can use our environmental window.
