International Campus for Cooperation and Development
8-13 July 2016, Marseille

Facing the vastness of economic, social and environmental challenges that characterize the status of our planet in the early 21st century, the scientific and academic communities of the North and the South have a specific role to play by contributing to advancing global knowledge and promoting relevant researches for the achievement of the SDGs.

The “International Campus for Cooperation and Development”, initiated by the University of Aix Marseille (AMU), the Institute of Research for Development (IRD) and the French Development Agency (AFD) in the year 2016, will serve this ambitious approach through the establishment of an unprecedented Summer School programme, questioning the role of scientists and the contribution of science to the implementation of the SDGs.

The originality of this high-level Summer School, both for its speakers and participants from the North and the South, is to jointly address both scientists (researchers, teaching researchers, unit managers, PhD students, post-Phd students…) and actors supporting the implementation of the SDGs (policy makers, representatives of local, national and international institutions, ministers, NGOs, companies…) mobilized to contribute to the realization of the 2030 Agenda for the benefit of future generations.

We will be there and we invite you to participate to this new dynamic, at the hearth of our societal concerns.
