Over the last months, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), on behalf of the United Nations Development Group (UNDG), and the Global Task Force of Local and Regional Governments for Post-2015 Development Agenda towards Habitat III, co-lead the global dialogue on the Localization of the Post-2015 Development Agenda. The main objective of this dialogue process was to stimulate inclusive national and territorial dialogues on the means of achieving the post-2015 development agenda at the local level.
Today, we are pleased to share with you the final report of the dialogues (here enclosed), which gathers the results of the various dialogues, organized in 13 countries and at regional and global level, and of the final dialogue, hosted by the City of Turin (Italy).

A set of key-recommendations, which emerged from the dialogues, have also been included in a “Communiqué on Localizing the Post 2015 Agenda”, together with a document on the proposed way forward (in French and Spanish) for the localization of the Post-2015 development agenda.
The report of the dialogues on localizing the new development agenda has also informed the UN Secretary General’s Synthesis Report, which has been presented to the United Nations General Assembly. The document served as a basis for the final round of inter-governmental negotiations for the definition of the new agenda currently underway.
