The Council for Sectorial Coordination of Productive Development: an example of Local Governance and Multilevel Coordination in Bolivia

We are pleased to present the latest systematization of “The Council for Sectorial Coordination of Productive Development: an example of Local Governance and Multilevel Coordination in Bolivia”, which is available by clicking here or at the following link:https://issuu.com/pnudartbolivia/docs/documento_cosdepro.

The document presents the experience and lessons learned from the joint working process between the Bolivian Ministry of Productive Development and the UNDP ART Programme in Bolivia on the promoted innovative approach to facilitate a multi-level governance. Indeed, thanks to the creation of the Council for Sectorial Coordination of Productive Development (COSDEPRO), which facilitates a coordinated work between the Ministry and the Local Governments, it has been possible not only to substantially improve the public investment in productive development, but also to lay the basis for a diversification of the productive matrix.

Through the pages of this publication, you will get to know the results achieved thanks to the COSDEPRO in five departments of the country and above all, see in practical terms the importance of building-up synergies between different levels of government.

The COSDEPRO represents an excellent example of the processes that UNDP Bolivia promotes and supports to improve the efficiency of public administration.

We wish you a pleasant reading.
